They tied their first game against Perdido Bay 0-0 and then beat the Dallas Texans FL club 4-0 to be the #1 seed and advance to the finals.  The TUFC boys had to battle against Perdido Bay again in the championship; TUFC won with a strong 2-0 finish against Perdido and not allowing any goals all weekend.

TUFC Girls earned second place overall in the U11 Girls Division.

“The U11 lead by Frank Amidon beat Navarre 3-1, beat Capital City Streaks (AL) 4-0 finishing 1^st in their bracket and then lost one of the most exciting games of the tournament in PK’s 4-3 versus Dallas Texans Florida. In the lead up to PK’s, both teams had opportunities but a twenty yard shot off the cross bar in overtime for TUFC would have carried the game. It was a tough way to finish a game and this will be a match up for the future. The boys played their hearts out.” – Coach Warner

The U11 girls finished 1st place in the 20th Annual Seminole Girls Fall Festival soccer tournament in Sanford, FL.  They were 3-0-1. Eight different players scored a combined 13 goals, and only 2 goals against were allowed.

TUFC Girls earned second place overall in the U12 Girls Division.

U-18 girls won Fusion Puma Cup in Tampa.  Beat Port St. John 4-0.  Lost to FC Tampa 3-2.  Beat Everton 2-0.  Won 2-1 in final in penalties against FC Tampa.

U-14 Girls won the Silver Division at Jacksonville.  They lost 3-2 v. JYS, won 5-1 v. Creeks, won 4-0 v. First Coast and then won 2-1 in penalties in the final v. JYS.

The TUFC U11 Girls won three of their four games to secure second place in the Silver Division.

TUFC is pleased to have Leo Flanagan bring his wealth of experience and knowledge to our Club where he will serve as the Director of the Select Program.  Leo comes to Tallahassee as part of the Warner Soccer staff following a nine year stint with Clay County soccer club where he served as Executive Director.  In this capacity he has organized the day to day operations of a 1600 member soccer club and has a strong event management background.

The TUFC U9 Boys team was the U9 Boys Gold Division finalist at the Atlanta Peach Classic

TUFC would like to thank all our members and sponsors for a successful 2008-09 Annual Banquet.  Thank you to Laura Sullivan for bringing Sports Psychologist, Dr. Jodi Yambor, as the guest speaker. Thank you to Florida State Dedman School of Hospitality for providing 4 volunteers to work with our banquet coordinator.  A very special Thank You to the Banquet Coordinator, Heather Kidd, for the many hours of work that went into organizing this event for our club. The banquet would not have been possible without Heather’s energetic and enthusiastic efforts.

TUFC is proud of the club’s strong showing including numerous champions and finalists at this year’s Rose City Tournament in Thomasville, GA.

Champions included U17 Boys, U16 Boys, U14 Boys, U12 White Boys, U12 Girls and U10 Boys.  U9 Boys finished in second place.
