TUFC is pleased to have Leo Flanagan bring his wealth of experience and knowledge to our Club where he will serve as the Director of the Select Program. Leo comes to Tallahassee as part of the Warner Soccer staff following a nine year stint with Clay County soccer club where he served as Executive Director. In this capacity he has organized the day to day operations of a 1600 member soccer club and has a strong event management background.
Prior to this he served as head coach and general manager of the Jacksonville Cyclones professional soccer team in 1999-2000. Leo has played and coached at the highest levels and his experience in the youth game is impressive. He has guided teams to state cup championships and many players into the collegiate and professional ranks.
After serving eighteen years in the professional ranks, Leo worked with the Lightening Youth Soccer Club in Atlanta, Ga and the Arlington Christian School.
Leo brings a wealth experience and knowledge in the game of soccer and at a time where soccer is experiencing great growth and transition he is a welcome addition to the Tallahassee soccer community. Leo is presently the head ODP coach for the Boys U16 team and is an FYSA instructor.
He holds an Irish FAI international, USSF ‘B’ license, National youth license and a UEFA ‘B’ license.
His playing career includes professional teams in Ireland (Dundalk) and England (Blackpool and Queens Park Rangers) and at the International level represented Ireland (FAI) against Argentina and Brazil.
